HOW TO WASH YOUR FACE STEP BY STEP

JAK MYĆ TWARZ KROK PO KROKU

Regardless of your skin type, cleansing is a basic step in skin care. This is where it all starts! Remember that even the best care may not be as effective as you expect if you do not cleanse your skin properly. How to properly cleanse the facial skin, what cleansing method to choose, how to properly cleanse the facial skin? Today we will help you with this topic.

STEP 1. WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED WHEN CHOOSING A FACIAL CLEANSING PRODUCT?

Proper skin cleansing depends on many factors, but the most important is the time of washing your face. In the morning, when you get out of bed, your skin requires different treatment than in the evening after a whole day of activity. Do you wear makeup? Do you go to the gym? Or maybe you were in the park today? It's matter. In some cases, this means that you will have to use different cosmetics, and sometimes it is enough to modify or add a certain cleansing step.

STEP 2. WHAT TO CHOOSE TO WASH YOUR FACE?

Choose the product that is right for you and your skin! There are many facial cleansing cosmetics, they have different formulas and compositions, and are intended for different skin types. Don't be afraid to experiment and look for the perfect product for yourself, but what you should always be guided by is the feeling the cosmetic leaves on your skin. After washing, your face should be soft and moisturized. If you feel that your skin is tight or irritated - even if it is clean - refrain from using this product.

TYPES OF FACE WASH PRODUCTS

  1. Gel - a classic face wash gel will work well if you want to cleanse your face more intensively, e.g. When choosing such a product, pay attention primarily to the type of skin it is intended for.
  2. Foam - usually has a light, mild formula. It works for all skin types, including sensitive ones.
  3. Emulsion - has a creamy consistency that takes some getting used to. Such a product is usually dedicated to particularly sensitive and vascular skin.
  4. Peeling gel/paste - a product with granules, in addition to cleansing, also removes dead skin cells. However, remember not to use it every day! Excessive exfoliation of the skin leads to irritation and disturbs the hydrolipid barrier of the skin.

STEP 3. HOW TO WASH YOUR FACE PROPERLY?

MORNING FACIAL CLEANSING

When cleansing your face in the morning, you usually only need one cleansing product. Don't skip washing your face in the morning. At night, your skin is constantly working, producing sebum, and dust and pollen from the pillow stick to it. It is these impurities that you need to remove from the skin surface. Reach for facial cleansing foam or gel. During morning care, you usually apply slightly lighter serums and/or creams, so make sure that your skin is properly moisturized already at the cleansing stage. Ingredients such as aloe water, panthenol, ceramides, hyaluronic acid will definitely help you with this.

EVENING FACIAL CLEANSING

Evening facial cleansing is a bit more complex. If you wear make-up, choose two-step cleansing.

STAGE I

Use a make-up removal balm, make-up removal emulsion, milk, oil or micellar liquid to remove mascara, foundation and lipstick.

STAGE II

Cleanse your skin with gel, foam or facial cleansing emulsion.

This method is also worth using when you don't wear make-up every day. Remember that in the evening you also need to cleanse your skin of SPF (we hope you remember to use sunscreen every day). Well-selected products will not dry out the skin, and thoroughly cleansed skin will better absorb all the nutrients of tonics, creams and serums.

Do you have to use different facial cleansing products in the morning and evening, e.g. in the morning cleansing you use a mild facial cleansing foam, and in the evening cleansing you use a stronger cleansing gel or peeling paste? You can, but you don't have to. If your skin tolerates the selected cosmetic well and you feel that your skin is clean, soft and moisturized, stick with it. Remember, however, that when using a tonic with acid (salicylic or glycolic acid, e.g. Halo) or undergoing treatment with retinoids, it is worth washing your skin gently both in the morning and in the evening, using e.g. Feel foam or facial cleansing emulsion. Additionally, remember that washing products containing stronger active ingredients, such as acids, are safe to use in the evening.
