Autumn is a difficult time for our skin. Every day she has to struggle with the negative impact of external factors, as well as unfavorable radiators, air conditioning and long flights. In addition to cold and wind, the skin is also exposed to sunlight because even though it cannot be seen, the sun shines even through the clouds. Moreover, many of us live in big cities, where smog and environmental pollution deteriorate the condition of our skin. As a result, our skin becomes dull, wrinkles and imperfections are more visible and an unpleasant feeling of tightness appears. We have already written about skin dehydration in the previous post, where you will learn how to diagnose the problem and how to remedy it. Today we come to you with a ready-made solution, thanks to which you will not have to dig through countless labels in search of the right ingredients. Soon, our brand's offer will include DRIP serum for dehydrated skin! After long work on its formula, we can finally offer it to you. What will you find in the bottle and how do the selected ingredients work? Check it out!
In autumn, we can afford more intensive and nutritious care. Therefore, it is worth including a serum with a more concentrated formula in your daily care. We can use such a cosmetic both day and night as the first product applied to cleansed skin, and then complement its effect with your favorite cream. Olivia Plum serum has a water-oil consistency, so it can also be successfully used on its own. We also know that for many of you, makeup is an essential and favorite element of everyday preparations. Therefore, our serum is also perfect under makeup, creating a smooth, luminous base, and the light formula of the cosmetic ensures pleasant application without a sticky feeling. We put everything in an elegant glass bottle with a pipette, thanks to which you can take the perfect portion of the serum. While working on this cosmetic, we wanted to ensure proper skin hydration in the simplest but effective way possible, especially in the fall and winter period or while traveling. Additionally, taking into account pollution and stress factors on the skin, it was very important to introduce an anti-pollution protective ingredient. It also contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, cucumber oil, urea, panthenol and vegetable glycerin. We described the properties of some of them in the previous post ( Dehydrated skin ), today we are writing about the most important ingredients of this recipe, which make our serum so unique.
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid - as you already know (because we hope you have read our previous entry ;) ), it is a substance that naturally occurs in our body. It is a humectant, i.e. a substance that strongly binds moisture to the skin. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for the appropriate level of hydration, elasticity and elasticity of the skin. Our serum contains triple hyaluronic acid 1.5%, which consists of three types of acid with different molecular weights - small molecular weight SLMW and LMW and multimolecular acid HMW. Each of them performs different functions to complement its operation:
- low molecular weight acid of the SLMW type increases hydration at the level of the inner layers of the skin,
- low molecular weight acid of the LMW type enables faster penetration of active substances,
- HMW-type macromolecular acid maintains moisture in the skin.
The combination of these three acids not only has an intensely moisturizing effect, but also has a regenerative, anti-inflammatory effect and accelerates wound healing. Additionally, it is highly biocompatible and does not cause allergies.
Anti-pollution ingredient - this is one of the most important ingredients of our serum. It is a multifunctional polymer ester obtained from castor oil, the latest generation, which fights smog and environmental pollution. Giving the effect of a second skin, it creates a breathable, light film on its surface that acts as a barrier, protecting cellular metabolism and fighting premature aging of the skin.
How does cucumber seed oil work ?
It is perfect for both mature and problematic skin care. It has cleansing, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and regulates sebum secretion. Additionally, it regenerates the skin, which is why it should be part of the care of skin affected by atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and acne. In the case of older skin, thanks to its moisturizing properties, it improves its elasticity and reduces wrinkles.
